The first documented reference to Masia Notari dates back to 1452, although the date of construction seems to go back a little further, to 1545.
The Masia was owned by the Alegret family for centuries.
At the end of the XVIII century their last heir, Magdalena Alegret, undertook a large part of the restoration which we can appreciate today.
She was married to the Notary Josep Anton Martí which explains the name of Masia Notari.
The name had also been given to a whole sector of the town and part of the original land which is still referred to as such.
At the end of the XIX century, the famous painter Jaume Ferrer i Mascaró bought the Masia and converted it into his residence and workshop.
Today, Masia Notari is a beautiful rural property where historic elements are combined with modern-day comforts. Decorated with great care, every room is unique and respectful of its origin and history.
As of last year Masia Notari reopened under new management. Some remodelling has taken place and we are excited to offer you our beautiful villa as well as our personalised service.
